Currently we are seeking an Banquet Chef to add to our team!
This position is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment for the staff. They will prepare or direct staff in the production of food for different events such as, banquets, business conferences, meetings, social events, etc. They will also schedule staff according to event schedule and ensure the food quality served at these functions. Supervise and teach cooking procedures to staff. Attend menu meetings and make recommendations. Ensure guest satisfaction through outstanding guest service.
This position is a part time, hourly opportunity.
Requirements
Coordinates scheduling of BOH staff to ensure adequate staffing levels in accordance with forecasted budget; analyze menu and food costs and the preparation of cost and quality efficient menus/specials.
Train and supervise kitchen staff in the proper preparation of menu items.
Implements and enforces all Company standards, policies and procedures.
Plan and create event menus, while maintaining financial responsibility.
Oversees inventory management to assure adequate supplies and performs periodic inventory.
Oversees and executes requisitioning and purchasing. Maintains effective vendor relationships.
Oversees and is responsible for the sanitation standards of BOH. Must be in compliance with local health department and Company standards.
Ensure proper receiving, storage (including temperature-setting) and rotation of food products.
Ability to plan and execute multiple banquet functions, coordinate with Event Management Team on execution.
Provide guest satisfaction through outstanding guest service.
Benefits
Compensation is based on experience. $20 - 25/hr
