Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef - Ibby's Cafe to support Washington University in St. Louis, MO!!
 
Washington University in St. Louis\u2019 campuses are located near the cultural center of St. Louis, surrounded by and adjacent to museums, performance venues, vibrant entertainment and dining districts, one of the nation\u2019s largest civic parks, and beautiful, tree-lined neighborhoods rich in history and diversity.

Nestled at the heart of the Washington University in St. Louis campus, Ibby\u2019s is located in the Danforth University Center. This unique campus bistro offers fresh, creative cuisine inspired by local ingredients and the seasons. Behind the scenes, Ibby\u2019s chefs apply classical cooking techniques to their ingredients to produce cuisine that is stunning to the eye and exciting to the palate. With a focus on sustainable and locally-sourced ingredients, Ibby\u2019s offers a delightful, fresh, daily-changing a la carte menu for carryout only at this time.
 
The successful candidate will:

be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

What We Offer

Position Summary
Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through executionKey Duties-Executes the culinary function-Customer & Client satisfaction-Manages food & physical safety program.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience \u2013 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
